1.How will RWM Xcabinet benefit us?
The services that RWM offer will help you by:-
- Saving you time, space & money.
- Providing you with a secure, electronic backup copy of your documents.
- Providing you with the ability to send a complete set of archived documents on a Compact Disc to another office/person to use.
2. We already scan our own documents, how will this help us?
RWM can scan your back-files or help when you fall behind. As experts in the field, RWM can help if there is a type or batch of documents that you don‘t like doing or have trouble with.
3. How many pages can you put onto Compact Disc?
On average 15,000 pages onto CD.
4. What happens if I have more than 20,000 pages?
We continue onto another CD, but still following the same format i.e. if you have 100,000 pages it might take up 5 CDs.
5. What do I need to use the discs?
You will need a PC running Microsoft® Windows® with a CD-ROM drive. You will not require any additional software.
6. What does it cost?
Each job will be quoted for individually to reflect your particular requirements. However, RWM does guarantee to be extremely competitive and will provide best value. A representative would be very pleased to visit you, estimate the quantities and provide a written quotation.
7. How do you decide what is to be scanned?
You will tell RWM exactly what requires scanning. RWM will arrange collection and if necessary sort them into order for you. There should be next to no work involved from you.
8. How do you decide on the order in which the documents are scanned?
In most cases RWM will scan them in the order in which they are currently filed. What RWM try to do is to re-create your filing system on a disc. RWM will suggest alternative methods of filing, where appropriate.
9. How will I be able to find a document?
As well as all of the images and software, there is an index of all the files/documents on the disc. This should enable you to find anything quickly and easily.
10.Can I choose my own passwords?
Usually RWM select a password at random but can arrange to use any password you require.
11. How will my paperwork be transported?
RWM can organise transportation through a number of dedicated and vetted courier companies. Alternatively, you can arrange your own method of delivery if you prefer.
12. How do I know my paperwork will be safe once it is handed over to you?
RWM undertake work for several government agencies and police forces, each of which has vetted RWM premises. Documents are kept securely at all times. All RWM staff have signed a confidentiality agreement and are vetted by the National Identification Service. Also, the documents go through several checks during each of the archiving procedures.
13. What happens if I need one of my documents while you have it?
If you urgently require one of your documents whilst on RWM premises we can have it faxed or emailed it to you. Originals are normally couriered.
14. What size of paper can you scan?
Anything from a postage stamp or bus ticket up to and beyond an A0 plan.
15. Can you scan in colour?
Yes. Colour scanning is a little more expensive as the images are very large and timely to create.
16. Are the discs read-only?
Yes. This enables them to stand up in court as none of the information can be altered, amended or removed.
17. Can my discs be updated?
Yes. RWM can update your discs with extra information when required.
18. Why is the software branded BREYTECH?
BREYTECH is the software division of RWM.
